Sponsor a Pastor/Village

The video here only shows you a portion of the work that has happened in this particular mission in India this year.

• The thing that touches your heart every time you meet one of these Pastors, is that many of them do not even have shoes on their feet.
• They are very poor people, but they love God dearly and are honored in their churches and many of the villages as Men of God.

There is tremendous opportunity here for ministry.
Please consider partnering with us so that this Apostolic work can continue. Most of all, we need financial support for the pastors and for the conference that takes place each October.

These two items are absolutely key to what is happening there right now. • Because of the poverty in this part of the world, the pastors there need our help and support for their families so they can do the work of ministry in their villages.
• Without our support, they would be forced to find work possibly many miles from their villages and away from their families.
• If they are going to be able to pastor in their villages, they need us to help them.

This small offering is absolutely the lifeline for these men, their families and their churches.

• After any banking fees, 100% of the money that you might give goes directly to the work in India.
• It does not purchase plane tickets, hotels or food for preachers.
• That’s the catch of being involved in this ministry.
• You have to pay your own way.
• Every person who has gone there for the conferences or to preach there has paid their own way.

We need good people like yourselves to partner with us to at least sponsor a village.
• You can sponsor an entire village and its pastor for as little as $100 per month.
• Can you believe that?
• That would pay the pastors salary and even enable him and his entire church to attend the Conference in October which is an enormous blessing to the Christans there.
• “Would you sponsor a Pastor and his church in West Bengal India?
• When you become the sponsor of a village, you are the only sponsor to that village.
• No one else will be sponsoring them.
• You in essence will literally be adopting and becoming the lifeline of that pastor and his church.

Where does your $100 go?
• 40 dollars of it will go directly to the pastor each month.
• Now I know this does not sound like much but that’s the beauty of this work.
• It does not take much to sustain it.
• The balance is used to make the conference happen there in Oct.
• Now I already told you that everyone pays their own way.
• But there is still food needed to feed the thousands of people who come from the villages.
• We have to rent a tent and sound system and the many other needs that are very complex in order to feed and care for thousands of people who come from the farthest villages to the conference.

Understand something today,

• These villages are extremely remote.
• In this part of the world Christians are only .60 percent of one percent of the population.
• They are absolutely surrounded by Hindus and Muslims who do not treat them well for their belief in Jesus Christ.
• When these people come to this conference their eyes are opened to the fact that there are thousands of people in other villages there who also believe this Truth.
• They see and experience Conference style Pentecostal worship and preaching.
• You know how valuable it is for Christians to get to go to conferences, camps and special meetings to see that their little church is not the only church in the world.
• The churches in India have the same need.
• They need to see that their little group 25 or 50 or 100 are not the only people in the world who believe these truths.
• In the many remote places that these churches are at, it would be extremely easy for these people to feel isolated and very alone.

This conference accelerates the work that we are doing there like nothing else we can do.
• Having geat preachers go there and minister in that conference and train those Indian Pastors is something that is absolutely necessary if we are going to raise up a solid, self sustainable work there.

We really need a financial miracle to take place this year so we can cause a strong base of consistant supporting partners like yourself.
• Could you allow your heart to open to this amazing need…
• We need your help…
• Would you partner with these men.
• Some of you are able to sponsor more than one village, could you do that?
• If you can’t afford 100 per month, can you afford 50 per month?

Sewing machines for the young women

One of the most challenging dilemmas for the women of India is the ability to make a living. It is extremely difficult at best. One of the best ways for a woman to earn decent wages is to be a seamstress. To address this challenge we have created we opened a Tailoring Institute to train women in tailoring, a trade to make income for their family. We provide free sewing machines to the ladies upon completion of their training. These machines are non-electric as most of the homes here do not have electricity and cost about $100 dollars US.

Equipped with the knowledge of sewing and sent forth into the harvest field with a sewing machine enables a young lady to evangelize and make a living, or make additional household income as a pastor’s wife.

Your donation of a sewing machine will enable a young Christian lady to continue in the wonderful ministry initiated by Dorcas in the Book of Acts.

Acts 9:39
Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

Bicycles for the Pastors and Evangelists

One of the most exciting events is the giving of bicycles at the annual conference in Samsi to the Pastors and Evangelists. These beautiful bicycles are durable and made to last for many years. Every graduating senior from the Bible College receives a bicycle. Extra bicycles are given to selected pastors according to the need.

These bicycles are a necessity. The graduating evangelists are sent forth in pairs to travel and spread the gospel. They will travel thousands of miles through villages, towns, and cities preaching and ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ until they find the location where they believe God wants them to plant a church. Pastors use these bicycles for everything from family transportation, visitation, going to meetings and conferences, and errands of every sort.

Luke 10:1-2
10:1 After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Orphanage Child Support

These little ones are helpless without your care. The alternative is bleak. In many cities statistics prove that orphaned children on the streets are taken and enslaved in less than one day. They may be sold into the sex industry, or made to work as slaves, used to beg for money for their masters, used to carry and distribute drugs, or murdered.

For just $50 per month you can sponsor the care and housing of an orphaned child. The orphans in our orphanage are loved, taught, housed, schooled, fed, and taught about Jesus.

$50 per month means we can take in one more additional child. Please help us make the difference.

Church Buildings

The annual monsoon season wreaks havoc on the established village churches in the region.

The pastors and congregations work hard to build churches where the congregation can assemble and meet. However the monsoon rains are so severe that on the average the building will only last an average of three years. Then it has to be completely rebuilt.

Perhaps you can imagine what a hardship it would add if you had to rebuild your church facility every three years. Think of the time and effort expended on the building whereas the same time and effort could be spent instead on building people.

There is a solution!

For a donation of $8,000 you can build a beautiful brick church with a cement floor and metal roof. These durable structures not only endure the weather for many years, but also testify as a witness to the villagers of what God is doing in their area.

This church was donated to the village of Bagdole. Rev. James Smith and his wife were there in February of 2011 and dedicated the land on which this almost completed church/school now sets. The congregants of the church in Bagdole have worked very hard to get the building completed even though the Monsoon Rains have hindered them greatly. One amazing point is how frugal the workers are with what they have to work with. It’s almost amazing that a building of this size and quality can be built with only $8,000.00.

When this building is completed, it will not only be a church and school for this village, but it will also be a place of refuge from the storms and dangerous weather.

Missions in India

Student Ministry – Bible College

Education of any kind in this part of India is reserved for the few who can afford to pay for it. There is no state-sponsored ran education system. For this reason, most of West Bengal is illiterate and dependent upon the compassion ofothers for basic education.

This is one reason why false religion is rampant in this part of the world. Most of the people are unable to simply read a Bible. Truth, like a ray of light, pierces the spiritual veil over the Bengali people.

Emanuel Bible Institute is vital to the work of God in India. Teaching and training the young men and women who attend the college enables us to send at least 2 dozen new ministry workers and pastors into the villages each year. These young men and women are extremely sincere servants of God who deserve every bit of help we can offer.

Once these students graduate from the Bible College, they immediately begin their ministries in one of the villages nearby. Most of them will become pastors who will teach the people of their villages about Jesus Christ.

Training at Emmanuel Bible Institute elevates their status within the communities where they will minister. They are respected as Men and Women of God who are worthy to be followed. Biblical education gains each student access in the lives and hearts of each person in the village.

These full time students are hungry to know Truth so they can take it to their villages and start churches. Most of the students need financial support. Could you possibly sponsor a Bible College Student? The cost for their room & board, as well as tuition is only 47 dollars per month.

Your monthly support will literally change the life of a young man or woman and those they will ultimately reach. There is a waiting list of sincere and hungry young men and women who are waiting to enter into the ministry. They are only waiting for a sponsor. Could you become that sponsor for them today?

The Desperate Need for Clean Water

Clean water is a primary necessity for life for our village churches. Most villages have inadequate water wells to service the people. Wells installed by the government are shallow in depth, and the water is not pure. As a result the people constantly battle afflictions with parasitic diseases. Hindu village leaders control most of the village water wells. The Hindu’s often refuse to allow our Christian families to share the use of the water wells.

The solution is for each local village church to install its own deep water well. These wells are 300 feet deep, and the water source is pure and free from parasites. These pure water wells dynamically change the health and life-span expectancies of the people. Once a well is installed our churches freely share the clean water with other people in the village.

Each well cost only $1000. By investing in the construction of just one water well, you not only help spare an entire village from parasitic diseases but you add years to the life expectancies of the people.

Mark 9:41
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

Humanitarian Aid Needs

What you are looking at, is a picture one of our ministers took while he visited various villages in West Bengal in Feb 2011. In this village of over 2,000 people, there is no clean drinking water well. Pictured here is a filthy green lagoon where a woman is washing her families clothes. In the background to the left, there is a large hog wallering in the water and mud. Just seconds before the picture was taken, there was a small child dipping water out with containers for drinking and cooking.

The most obvious need is also the easiest need to meet and that is clean drinking water.

This area of India is a rural area with villages of between 5,000-10,000 people scattered throughout. These people are among the poorest people in the world. We are currently working with over 91 pastors in this area from as many villages.

Aside from the knowledge of Jesus Christ, one of the greatest needs in these villages is the very basic need for clean drinking water. Many of these villages do not have wells. In the villages that do have wells, many of them were dug incorrectly and are tainted with water that causes the people to be constantly sick. In the villages that do not have wells, the people are literally drinking water from streams and lagoons that are infested with disease. They get water from wherever they can get it, but many times this is water that is also shared with animals, sanitation runoff, and such.
We hope to be able to contract the drilling and placement of 20 wells this year. These cost about 1,000.00 per well to have installed. They are dug 350 Ft deep to give the people clean drinkable water.

Is there any way possible that you could partner with us in this humanitarian effort to provide clean drinking water for our Christian brothers and sisters in India. We cannot tell you how important this need is. Imagine these sweet people having to walk for miles every day to get water that is only going to make their families sick.

If you can only give only 1 dollar towards this, it would be greatly appreciated. Every dollar counts and will help immensely. However, if it is possible for you to give a gift of $25, $50, $100 or even more, please give it as unto the Lord. A collective offering from your church would be an amazing blessing if that is possible.

Another need that is very basic yet easy to give are small livestock. Some of these Christian families have no possible means of income. If given a goat, they are able to sell the milk and cheese to their neighbors. One goat can provide substance for a family of 4 people. These goats cost $100 per. We would like to be able to purchase at least 10 goats while we are there and distribute them to the poorest families.

If you would like to sponsor the purchase of a goat or even partner with someone else to do this, please do what you can.

There is a link below that you can follow to make a contribution to this online. Any gift you give is tax deductable and you will receive a contribution receipt that you can use as a deduction on your taxes. Your gift will go through Second Chance ministries in order to facilitate that tax deduction.

Again, any gift at all would go extremely far to help these sweet men, women and children, who are not able to help themselves. 100% of your gift will go directly to meet this tremendous need.

The Goat Ministry

Goat Ministry is an incredibly important element of our plans here in West Bengal India.

The remote villages and people often do not have immediate access to grocery stores or even electricity for their homes. Refrigerators are virtually non-existent.

The gift of a milk goat is akin to the gift of life. These goats are durable and easy to maintain with local vegetation, but they provide fresh milk and nurishment for the infants, children, and families both for cooking and consumption.

Some of these Christian families have no possible means of income. If given a goat, the Christian families who have no possible means of income would be able to sell the milk and cheese to their neighbors or barter for other needed. One goat can provide substance for a family of 4 people.

Hogs also are a valuable resource. Hogs can be sold and bartered for other essential needs, as well as butchered and eaten as the need arises.
For only $100 you can purchase a premium milk goat or hog that dynamically impacts the quality of life for an entire family.
