Projects

One of the most challenging dilemmas for the women of India is the ability to make a living. It is extremely difficult at best. One of the best ways for a woman to earn decent wages is to be a seamstress. To address this challenge we have created we opened a Tailoring Institute to train [...]

One of the most exciting events is the giving of bicycles at the annual conference in Samsi to the Pastors and Evangelists. These beautiful bicycles are durable and made to last for many years. Every graduating senior from the Bible College receives a bicycle. Extra bicycles are given to selected pastors according to the need. [...]

The annual monsoon season wreaks havoc on the established village churches in the region. The pastors and congregations work hard to build churches where the congregation can assemble and meet. However the monsoon rains are so severe that on the average the building will only last an average of three years. Then it has to [...]

Clean water is a primary necessity for life for our village churches. Most villages have inadequate water wells to service the people. Wells installed by the government are shallow in depth, and the water is not pure. As a result the people constantly battle afflictions with parasitic diseases. Hindu village leaders control most of the [...]

Goat Ministry is an incredibly important element of our plans here in West Bengal India. The remote villages and people often do not have immediate access to grocery stores or even electricity for their homes. Refrigerators are virtually non-existent. The gift of a milk goat is akin to the gift of life. These goats are [...]
Ministries

The video here only shows you a portion of the work that has happened in this particular mission in India this year. • The thing that touches your heart every time you meet one of these Pastors, is that many of them do not even have shoes on their feet. • They are very poor [...]

These little ones are helpless without your care. The alternative is bleak. In many cities statistics prove that orphaned children on the streets are taken and enslaved in less than one day. They may be sold into the sex industry, or made to work as slaves, used to beg for money for their masters, [...]

Education of any kind in this part of India is reserved for the few who can afford to pay for it. There is no state-sponsored ran education system. For this reason, most of West Bengal is illiterate and dependent upon the compassion ofothers for basic education. This is one reason why false religion is rampant [...]
Every Gift Counts
The poverty in this part of West Bengal India is extreme. A large percentage of the population here lives no better than the animals that roam the streets. It is heart-breaking especially to realize that the children here have very little hope of ever improving their existence, much less finding out that Jesus Christ loves them.
Mothers and fathers work tirelessly in the fields and labor camps for literally 2-4 dollars per day. When people fall sick here, they often die quickly from their ailment as most cannot afford even the trip to a Hospital or Doctor.
Until you sit in these people's very humble homes (grass huts, mud shacks or tents) and enjoy their sweet generosity and welcoming hearts, you cannot begin to understand how much they appreciate how little they have. The smallest gift is treated like an enormous blessing. When they meet you for the first time, they hold on to your hand and don’t let go as a gesture of their affection towards you. They have nothing to offer you but their kindness, and they shower you with it. It is extremely humbling to be treated so kindly by people who have so little.
When people don’t appreciate what you do for them, it makes it hard for you to go out of your way to help them. The Christian people of West Bengal are on the farthest extreme of that spectrum however. These precious people appreciate the smallest blessings so much that it makes it very hard for a person to not want to do much more for them. The needs there are very great however and resources are very limited, so we do what we can with what the Lord provides us. If there is any possible way that you can help us be a blessing to such appreciative and deserving Christians, please search your heart for what God would ask you to offer.
The “Donate” button at the top of this page offers several very important and needful areas that are most needing support at this time. Please take a moment before you leave this site and explore the possibilities of your involvement there. You gift will change a person’s life and quite possibly an entire village.
The team of ministers who are working behind the scenes to help these 91+ churches & villages do so without any type of remuneration. In fact, individually and corporately, they invest multiple thousands of dollars of their own money and weeks and months of their yearly schedules to help the pastors and churches here. When they travel to India, these ministers pull from their own resources to fund not only their own travel expenses, but most often also the projects and ministries that they are going to implement (wells, churches, etc).
If your church would consider allowing one of these men to come and share the burden of this work with your congregation, please contact us at Help@IndiaNeedsJesus.com. We will travel at our own expense and only ask that you allow us to at the least, take up an offering for the work in India. It would be wonderful if you or your congregation could sponsor a village on a monthly basis. http://www.indianeedsjesus.com/support-a-pastorvillage/
